Akraam Ahammed Aka AKRAAMAHAM Is a British/Bangladeshi multi-media artist based in London who’s practice is rooted in self-reflection utilising any form of visual art to express his concepts.

He often explores his own identity/environment growing up, from the mundane to very specific experiences, and translates them to art works using various experimental mediums and methods. Whilst creating subjectively beautiful pieces the art works are designed to create an experience or open up discussions through the use of imagery, composition and juxtapositions.

Transitioning from the fine arts to fashion, he is currently using ready-to-wear garments to explore concepts revolving around sneaker culture in the ‘ends’. The use of buying off the rack clothing is a means to learn about materials, pattern cutting and style whilst he obtains the skills to create his own from scratch.

His documentation of his journey as an artist is a way to encourage discussion and to open the barriers between his community and the arts. the journey informs the art, the art inspires the journey.
